1. Introduction

Kwezr ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered study assistant app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our mobile application and services, how we use that data, and what rights you have over it.

By creating an account or using the Kwezr app, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account data — email address, display name, avatar URL, and username.
• Authentication data — OAuth provider identifiers when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Device data — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens, device ID, platform, device model, operating system version, and app version. Used to deliver push notifications, to enforce free-plan limits fairly, and to diagnose the problems you report to support.
• Approximate location — the country and city estimated from your IP address, together with the IP address itself, recorded when you sign in or contact support. This is used to understand where our users are, to detect abuse, and to give support the context needed to help you.
• Study content — documents you upload, flashcards, quiz questions, and study-tracking data generated through your use of the app.
• Subscription data — premium status, entitlement identifiers, and subscription expiry dates synced from RevenueCat.
• Referral data — the referral code you were referred by and any codes you share.

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, or browsing history. The app never requests access to your device's location; the approximate location above is estimated from your IP address on our servers and is no more precise than a city.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Deliver AI-powered study features (flashcard generation, quiz creation, document analysis).
• Send push notifications about study reminders and app updates.
• Sync and verify your subscription entitlements via RevenueCat.
• Reward referrals and track referral milestones.
• Improve the quality and safety of our services.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase — authentication, push notifications (FCM), and file storage.
• Apple Sign In — OAuth authentication for iOS users.
• Google Gemini AI — AI processing of your uploaded study content.
• RevenueCat — in-app subscription management and entitlement verification.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated personal data — including your profile, authentication identities, study content, device tokens, and referral records — is permanently and immediately removed from our systems. This deletion is irreversible.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correct — update your account information at any time via the app.
• Delete — permanently remove your account and all associated data (see Section 7).

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, JWT-based authentication, and access controls to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Kwezr is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
